Processing time
Kansas publishes no processing time for a foreign registration. Foreign business entities must file on paper, so the one timing statement the Secretary of State does publish, that an online domestic formation is processed within minutes, does not reach this filing. Kansas sells no expedited service either, so there is no purchased turnaround to fall back on.

What triggers foreign qualification in Kansas?

  • Physical office or place of business
  • Employees working in the state

Important to know

  • Foreign LLCs cannot register online. Kansas accepts the foreign application on paper only, at $115, the single figure form FA prints for every foreign entity type. Several national guides still publish the previous $165 figure, and a fee computed from the February 2026 regulations gives $90, which is not what the form charges.
  • The Information Report is biennial, not annual, at $90 online and $110 by paper.
